TUESDAY 14TH: LA ROCHELLE

First thing in the morning we were back at the launderette, hanging around in a misty morning as a bunch of college students greeted each other and smoked furiously on the street corner. The door of the launderette was on a timer and opened automatically at 8.03am. Our laundry was unmolested.

Most of Bordeaux proved to be seeable in one afternoon so today we took a trip to this lovely seaside resort, 2 hours away.
