TUESDAY 21ST: MARSEILLE
Yachts, fish, traffic and a blustery wind that disorientated and knackered us utterly. Just a few pictures here as we were only passing through on the way to...
AIX-EN-PROVENCE
This was a beautiful town which seemed to have the shops of Bond Street and the buildings of Oxford, not to mention an Irish pub called the Red Clover and an old English busker (not pictured) playing a blues which went "Someday the sun's gonna rise just for me". We hope it happens soon...
THE LOVELY OLD NUT MAN OF AIX
We stopped into a huge, posh cafe for a cup of tea and this old boy in cap and overall with a tray around his neck appeared and started tipping nuts onto people's tables. We thought people would get annoyed with him and/or the waiters would shoo him away but instead everyone knew him, he shook hands with all the staff, and he sold several packs of exquisite sweet nuts. He also "didn't mind" having his photo taken.
